Wolf DO30CM: Is One Oven Heating and the Other Not?

Wolf built the DO30CM, the Contemporary double of the M Series, from 2015 as the /B and from 2017 as the /S, both until 2023. Each of its ovens heats on its own parts, so a cold one is traced inside that cavity; Wolf Repair Bellevue, (425) 629-0033, does that on the $89 visit.

What fails on it
- Element in the cold cavity An oven that gives no heat at all on bake has usually lost its element. Elements have no set band and are quoted after the diagnosis.
- Sensor in the cold cavity A sensor that has failed outright leaves that oven's control with nothing to go on, so the cavity may refuse to heat.
- Door hinges A door that sags or sits proud at one corner lets heat out along that edge and may stop catching when pushed shut.
- Push-to-open catch Each door opens with a firm press high in the middle. One that no longer releases that way, or will not stay closed, needs its catch checked.
- Shared control Neither oven heating, or both acting up together, sends the search to the breaker and then to the control.
Why the cold oven is a job of its own
Wolf’s own troubleshooting pages for this M Series generation name bake and broil elements, convection fans, a cooling fan and the clean-cycle door lock once for the upper cavity and again for the lower. When one DO30CM oven goes cold, the parts worth testing sit in that cavity, and the repair is priced for it alone.
If neither oven heats, look at the home circuit breaker before anything else. Wolf’s guide makes that the first check for an oven that will not operate, and it costs nothing.
What to tell us when you book
Say which oven is cold, in which modes, and whether both doors still open and close the way they should. Read the model line from the plate in the lower cavity: low on the left of the frame, visible only with that door open.
Where the front is black glass, clean it the way Wolf suggests, with glass cleaner sprayed onto a cloth rather than straight onto the door.

- Why does a DO30CM door spring open again after I close it?
- Try the closing method Wolf gives for Contemporary models first: swing the door upward, then press firmly. A light push may not engage it. If it still bounces back, or one corner stands out from the frame, the catch or a hinge needs attention, and that work falls in the door band shown above.
